Denis Dutra Marques (1984) is a salesian consecrated
religious in the process of formation to be a Priest. He is a singer, composer,
poet and above all, lover of life.
Denis was born in Itapemirim on December 5th
1984, and he is the first-born son of Deuzevite Marvila Marques and Soraia
Dutra Marques. Denis has always been a sensitive kid in Marataízes, where lived
the most part of his life, with his parentes, Brother David, sister Daiany and
friends. The school where Denis made his first studies was near his house and
called “Escola de primeiro grau Lagoa Dantas”, in this period he highlighting
the good education of family, commitment to studies and fellowship. After
elementary school, Denis began to do something that was very difficult for him
at first, but it prepared him for his future life, studying in a school
somewhat distant from his home in order to complete their regular studies. He
completed his high school on 2001 at Washington Pinheiro Meirelles. After
finish high school, he taking a break in formal studies, and divided his time
exercising the office of farmer taught by his father, taught some English
classes at your neighborhood school and participating in the various activities
of the church that always was very interested.
After a disappointment with the diocese of which he
was incardinated, that was not accepted as a seminarian on the grounds that he
was not competent to do so. He decided to follow his mother advice and began on
2005 the graduation of Modern Languages/ English at São Camilo University. The
period of the University was essential for his human formation and academic
degree. It was also important to help him awaken to their dreams that was
asleep, make the World a better place.
Denis was an excellent English teacher loved for
students and their parents. He was working in mainstream schools and language
schools. He was a micro businessman in the area of library, and he still had
time to be a missionary in his church and others with the younger people.
Denis in 2009 had to take a very hard decision answering
the call of God to be light and hope for the youth of the world, mainly the poor
young. It was time to many tears, to leave family, friends and comfortable
life, it was time to build another life, to spend the life for the other
unknown people. He had lived in Barbacena, Recife, Belo Horizonte, Brasília
working with poor young people. He had graduated in Philosophy at Catholic
University of Brasilia-UCB.
When he lived in Belo Horizonte Denis worked as a
social educator at “Casa Dom Bosco” that is a shelter for lawbreaker young,
social vulnerability young, or young with trajectory of street, aiming to
reinsert them in society.
Now Denis lives in Barbacena-MG as a coordinator of a
social work, which serves about 650 youngers during week and weekend with
religious education, humane education, leisure and professional technical
education. He is also a lecture in available time, when is called, to motivate
and teach young people. In other words,
Denis is a friendship guy for them. And he captive them with his smile,
happiness, songs, poems, look and presence.
